Activity buses launch in Grants Pass School District 7

Students participating in afterschool activities now have transportation options to get home.

Student Investment Account (SIA) dollars have made it possible for Grants Pass School District 7 to add a handful of new bus routes. The routes will run once in the afternoon for school-sponsored clubs and tutoring, and once in the evenings for athletics.

“For many students, transportation is a barrier to a richer school experience,” Trisha Evens, Director of Secondary Education says. “We hope that more students will choose to participate in athletics, clubs, and other school-sponsored activities because they have a safe, reliable way to get home each night.”

Right now, activity buses are running for North Middle School, South Middle School, and Grants Pass High School. Pick-up times vary by school location and space is limited. If families are interested in their students riding the activity bus, they should contact their club advisor or the athletic office at their school.
